Music in the Parks
Grab your lawn chair, blanket, picnic basket and cooler and come join us on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for some great musical entertainment in the parks! All performances are family friendly. Local Anoka and metro area musicians take the stage to entertain you and share their love of music. Many different genre’s of music are represented throughout both concert series so there is sure to be something for everyone! Concerts are free. Concerts will be cancelled if there is inclement weather. Be sure to follow the City of Anoka facebook page for the most recent concert information and reminders.
Rockin’ on the Rum
Wednesday evenings during June, July and August. Concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. and last 1 ½ to 2-hours. These concerts feature a variety of family-friendly music by popular metro area and regional performers. Some concert dates will include food trucks or concessions. Bring your lawn chair, pack a picnic or grab a meal to go from one of the restaurants in the downtown area. The Rum River provides a fantastic backdrop - boat docks located above and below the dam provide a great option for people that like to visit Anoka via the river!

Concert in the Park
Sunday evenings 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. June, July and August
This is the city’s original concert series featuring small groups, soloists, and duets and local musicians. These are 60 - 90 minute performances. Concert location rotates between George Green Park and Riverfront Memorial Park. Be sure to check to the schedule for the performance location! The concert series includes a variety of family-friendly entertainment by local area musicians. Grab your lawn chair or blanket and your family and friends, and come join us for some great entertainment, relaxation, and socialization.
