The Anoka-Champlin Fire Department is now accepting applications for the position of Paid on Call Firefighters. This rewarding and challenging position is part-time, on-call, and is responsible for emergency responses; general firefighting work; fire prevention; suppression and rescue services required to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property by fire.
No experience is necessary. We will train you through nationally accredited programs. Firefighters are expected to attend approximately 6 hours of training per month and are required to respond to a minimum of 30% of calls. Firefighter candidates must live within a 10-minute response area of their assigned station, be at least 18 years of age, pass a physical agility test, and pass the interview process, prior to a conditional offer.
