Santa is Coming to Town!
Santa is very excited to visit Anoka’s neighborhoods! He has planned to visit all the neighborhoods in Anoka before heading back to the North Pole. If the Santa, Sirens and Friends Parade is not visiting your specific street, please consider waiting for him and his friends at one of the parks, schools, or church parking lots along the route. Or, just take a stroll down the block and join your neighbors on their street. Please be sure to wear a mask and remain socially distanced.
Santa’s Friends will be placing collection boxes along the route for you to deposit new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Joy & non-perishable food donations for ACBC Food Shelf. Santa’s little helpers encourage you to utilize the collection boxes for your donations, but if you are not able to utilize the box, donations will also be picked up from the boulevards along the parade route.
We are super excited that our friends at FIRST STUDENT are providing 2 buses to help collect donated items. Please look for the decorated buses along the parade route to make your donation during the parade (you will find them at the park or school locations). We hope to stuff both buses full of donations before Santa leaves for the North Pole.
View the Parade Route Maps (PDF) or the Slideshow of maps.
Santa and friends will not be able to stop along the route for pictures. The exact time it will take to drive through each neighborhood is estimated and subject to change. Routes may be modified in the event of inclement weather.
For information of what types of food items are needed, visit ACBC Food Shelf.
Toys for Joy is seeking brand new, unwrapped toys for kids of all ages! Toys for teenagers are always in high demand.
Be sure to follow the City of Anoka on Facebook for "real time" updates on where Santa and his friends are located.
Thank you for your donations and have a wonderful and safe holiday season!
